Alan Ayckbourn’s Absurd Person Singular

Are you a fan of funny, British comedy? wry, satiric, witty, etc.? You have until December 29  to see this wonderful revival in Theatre One at Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street.

A terrific ensemble, fresh from England, and all sporting the accent we know and love so well, is part of  Dick & Lottie’s company which specializes in Ayckbourn’s works (he is their artistic director).Ayckbourn celebrates his 80th birthday this year.

Spi0010516_009.JPG (Ayckbourn, the Telegraph)” Set in three kitchens over three Christmases, the play charts the relentless rise of the socially aspiring Hopcrofts at the expense of two other couples.”

The cast is first rate, Broadway/West End quality) and they shine in this intimate 99-seat house as they easily slip into ever-evolving character changes.

John Cotgrave is the director.
Don’t miss it; it’s only here for a short time.
